Our core business is making period furniture for museums and Historic Houses. These are used for room setting displays or just pieces which fit in well with the style of the property for general use in public and education areas. Our garden furniture enhances their outdoor spaces whilst remaining in keeping.
The Pilgrims Trail Exhibition at Bassetlaw Museum in Retford. Working with Querceus Design http://www.querceus.co.uk/index.html and The Workhaus https://theworkhaus.co.uk/ we created an interactive space telling the tail of the pilgrims leaving the area for the new world.
At Little Moreton Hall https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/little-moreton-hall we have made cupboards and tables for an interpretation room, chairs for room stewards and a number of garden benches.

I’ve done quite a bit for this site over the years but notable was an earlier pilgrim exhibition
Wroxeter Town House
We made several pieces for the reconstruction Roman Villa made as part of Channel 4’s ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’ on the site of Wroxeter Roman City.
Arbeia Roman Fort
Another Roman reconstruction this time by South Tyneside Council. We made a number of the pieces here some fairly unusual carved pieces and our first foray into the Roman period. Images of some of my work even made iot to the cover of their resident expert’s book on the subject, ‘Roman Furniture’ by Alex Croom
Shakespere’s Globe Theatre
We were involved with the Globe Theatre from the beginning of their first season Lesley made costumes for some of the cast of Henry V and Simon started making furniture for the set. Later we made public area seating and part of a room setting for the exhibition in the undercroft. This was a long time ago now, the photos are not great.
Donington Le Heath Manor
A lovely little site in Leicestershire we made a carved table a chest, a chair and a cupboard for a room display here.
